I’m not quite sure how to classify any given moment in the transition from late summer to early autumn (LS/EA). Clearly, this isn’t mid-summer vegetation, and it’s not full on autumn, either. The yellow of the milkweed leaves and the brown of some of the grasses are the give-away to the transition from summer-green.
Here’s another angle, with still-proud asparagus vegetation and a fine apple tree with some laden branches. Here, the biggest give-away is the color in the top of the maple, left of center.
