We spent most of the morning at Piedmont Park, strolling with our friend B, who has moved (or, truthfully, is in the process of moving) back to Atlanta after years…elsewhere.
We checked out the new part of the park (roughly: downstream) that we had watched while it was still closed, including this fountain that was up and running this spring, although park-goers did not have access. (Brace yourself for more pictures of it going forward….)
We also cruised the Saturday market, and came home with some south Georgia peaches that perfumed the area around the vendor’s table so beautifully I could not pass up the fruit. At home, yup, they’re wonderful—tender, juicy, and sweet!
