Despite predictions of freezing rain, I walked the park, and even saw maybe 30 seconds total of sunshine, in two reveals—enough sun to make shadows. Heartening.

Rey called me today to let me know he was OK. He had been called by the Smokies folks and told to STAY HOME! It appeared even venturing onto the sidewalk was fraught with peril.
