Even though I didn’t have sock yarn, back in the mists of time, I knitted socks (and gloves). I guess, lacking sock yarn, I added thread in the heel (why emerald green?), but this pair was never worn enough to affirm that it improved durability.

also, on the subject of africa, i got my shots this morning. all six of them. needless to say, i’m feeling pretty woozy and can’t even count how many typos i’ve made in this little comment!!
