I see boxes of little zuccs at the farmer’s market. I have a black thumb, as you know, but I wonder if they get sorted by size after they are picked. If that makes any sense.

It does. That suggests repeated waves of picking, which is less efficient than a single picking…. For example, the cluster tomatoes that ripen all at once indicate a ripening pattern that heritage varieties don’t have….
