Kind readers, here’s a second Sunday post: bluebirds and waxwings dining on the barberries (of last Thursday), accompanied by a monitoring bluejay and happy chipmunks gathering pieces that fell to the ground.
Dining? We went to Manistique for lunch. Followed by groceries….

OOTF says:
Thanks for the bonus musing today. Great shots as always.
Birds! The last two mornings our resident Kingfisher has been up at dawn chattering through the trees next to the house rather than down at the lake where he/she should be. The last two mornings I have wanted to sleep late, you know until 7:00 am. What’s up, is it searching for tree fish or upland flying fish?
Last week it was two owls fighting or sexing outside the bedroom window at 3:00 am. Birds!
At least chipmunks don’t make much noise – except Alvin.

Great shot! Clyde’s for lunch in Manistique or something a bit fancier? (Oh, right, Clyde’s is probably closed for the winter.)

Sammy says:
Clyde’s was open, but we’ve been loving the Three Seasons Cafe (with wifi)….
And, OOTF, yeah, the critters. Eagles soaring the other day…but quiet….
