One excellent thing about the Fourth party we attended was tonight’s afterparty with a lovely buffet of leftovers. Wonderful both the first and second time!

A small new crop of teens were uninterested in swimming in the lake (they’d spent the afternoon there), so, with wifi accessibility, they opted for a bit of gamesmanship.

Meanwhile, the Guru and the Dave-man conspired to keep a five-year-old guessing with a little clumsy-yet-successful magic that had him guessing. Maybe indeed the earache he’d had the week before did originate with the 2-inch penguin the Guru extracted from his ear….
