Mystery in ATL

Moose whimsy

ATL is pretty far away from moose* territory…. Is this whimsy in the garden of transplanted Yoopers? Canadians?

* Elk is moose in British English, I “see.”

Or should the title have been “Rusty steel mini-moose”? Or “Migratory moose visits ATL”? Or….

I think I need one of those. He’d be a good buddy for ‘hicken. In other news, rabbits and chippies scampering around my yard this morning.

Your critters are more appealing than the ’possum we keep seeing. True, we also see house cats.

Big cats spotted here in Bend. 2nd cougar spotted and killed in the city this year. 1st spotted in a residential area in the heart of town, the 2nd seen Saturday on Pilot Butte, the very popular walking/hiking/biking park near the center of town! Do we have an overabundance of cougars or is the drought causing them to move closer to people for easier pickings from our pet population?

OOOoo, hungry cats in urban/suburban areas doesn’t sound good! Good to hear from you Mary Jo!

We have plenty of possums and I actually think they’re pretty cute. Scary about the cougars though.
