My mother called these zipperskins. I don’t recall hearing this term elsewhere, yet I can’t quite believe it was her personal language quirk.

Pooh says:
“zipperskins” rings a faint bell for me. Maybe there was an ad campaign with that name? Maybe it’s a generational thing. Like reading the old Fanny Farmer cookbook at the cabin where she describes avocadoes as “alligator pears”.
