No lie

Black creek flooding pure sky

Black Creek Flooding with a glorious sky.

Cruising back from Library-Town, we passed a fellow walking down the road carrying a very large parrot.

What, no picture? Come on, you expect us to believe that without photographic evidence? Now, we know you wouldn’t lie, but… I really would liked to have seen that!

The flooding has so much water this spring that the woods are flooded and people are spearing suckers in the woods! Weird.

A few years ago, Mark and I were out bike riding and we stopped at the store by the Brimley State Park. There was an old guy riding an old bike and on the back there was a cage with two parrots. He said he and the parrots had ridden up from Florida. He was drinking out of a paper bag, but hey, parrots aren’t native to the UP, so maybe he did ride all the way from Florida.

Yeah, WD, I’d love to have a photo (without being an annoying tourist), but even 45 mph was too fast to get a snap (and I was driving and the guy was walking our direction, so we didn’t see the parrot until we were past them…). Pooh, maybe there’s a group here in the UP that enjoys parrots, and we have just been unaware?

Yeah, amazing flooding, Sherry, including those homes/cottages in Helmer that have water well up their foundations.

Hey! We are heading to Tahquamenon on Sunday morning to see the high water. If you have nothing better to do… (Bob, Bill, Anne)
