
We sped south through Michigan on the optimal route; however, in Findlay, Ohio, we opted for the parallel US highway, Route 68, which allowed us to avoid Cincinnati. Here’re some random scenes from central and southern Ohio….

West Liberty. Lucky me that the biker appeared.

Inbound in Urbana, we saw this chopper, and its coffee shop, named Huey’s, of course.

On the south side of Urbana, we spotted this convocation of…chopper riders, the motorcycle kind. I’m guessing it was some kind of prayer gathering; it’s Sunday, after all.

My parents met in Yellow Springs, and I understand that, at least for a time, my dad worked Saturday nights in a bar there…perhaps this one.
We crossed the Ohio on the “new” bridge north of Maysville, and continued on US-68 to Paris, then we turned south on KY-627, a bucolic route that winds between stone fences and horse pastures that we discovered not too long ago, when we were northbound and avoiding traffic snarls in Lexington.
