Moto Ohtake, Airborne
The light wasn’t helping me when we watched this one. Like the first sculpture, it was pretty active, but with all the little paddle-shaped winglets, I rather expected it to do a good job of catching the wind.
When we first approached the sculpture, I didn’t think much of it. As I watched it rotate and moved to see it from different angles, I warmed to it, and found it far more interesting than at first glance.
I loved that the zoom on my camera was powerful enough to enable me to examine these welds. Otherwise, from the ground I could only see glistening silver….
