Each summer at the Green Cottage (™—haha), we had cards, Scrabble, Life…and puzzles.

We scrambled around and loaded up the BGT*, traveling rather like the Joads. No traffic to speak of at the bridge….
The capper was a superb salad that KJ composed of many bits and pieces of leftovers—just yum. There were snack snap peas, tiny tomatoes, marinated mozzarella, garbanzo beans, chives from a ways out the back door—see: yum! And the fried pita bits were the ultimate finishing touch.

I count it as a very good day when I have lots of plans and can actually look back after sunset and say, yup, we managed to do what we had hoped to accomplish.
Today is fully in the category of: we did it!
