What is perspective?

The world is perspective.

My lovely neighbor took me on a wee expedition this afternoon, in which we visited what I took to be a contemplative garden, Vietnamese Buddhist style. The eyebrows on this fellow went down past his knees. Astounding.
I’m guessing this guy has ear-wax buildup or ear-fleas…something dire.
However, I’m going to interpret this as a sign that it’s okay that I have no idea what these characters are intended to indicate, or symbolize, or whatever.
I’m an anthropologist in the dark on a sunny day.

I saw something that caught my eye in the raindrops on the glass in the foreground juxtaposed with the light in the distant windows. The photo is fun, but different than what I was going for.

Here’s a version of the Copenhagen mermaid, watched over by a very large conch shell….
This I couldn’t quite figure out; I don’t think the chair is quite garbage, maybe the protector of the waste-pro container?
I’d like you to meet Whopper. He loves to show off his belly. When he sleeps under the car, it looks like he’s changing the oil.
Molly and Mindy are chickens. The cat isn’t waiting for them, just enjoying the breeze.

Somebody had this joke up on a sign that we saw during our FL run recently, and it’s stuck in my head, so now it’s…here.
I met Mr. Right and married him. Then I discovered his middle name was Always.

Do you prefer the green and living plant?
Or the dried castoff bud?
The first is some kind of yucca; the second, I think, is in the Araucariaceae family.

Creative use of glazed potsherds*.
Grass heads….
* The Brits call them shards. They are shards in that shards are broken bits. Sherds, on the other hand, are broken bits of ceramic, i.e., potsherds.

Hey, we’re on the Gulf Coast, so of course we saw…a lighthouse!
And wading birds! Is this a limpkin? I think so…. Watched her/him for some time….
We also saw birds of several colors and configurations (including Snow Birds), two gators, one armadillo (wait, that was yesterday), shrimp and oysters (on our plates)….
But the best shots of the day were from Drone-y/Roney…above this white sand beach with the narrow peninsulas extending out from the beach during low tide…
…and this sunset shot. You can see a sliver of the Gulf past the river….

First, I thought, oh this geometric light-dark is…dramatic.
Then, I thought: new life. And the burgeoning bulbs took center stage in my mental universe. Go flowers! [Too early for bulb-growth…just too darned early—it’s DEcember.]
Then, I thought: the easy and wise choice is to go with the leftovers-that-don’t-look-like-leftovers. This is not tetrazzini…
The choice is yours…I give you all the options.
