Right temp

Icy precip CU

For a while this morning, we had white-icy accumulation at the same time it was drippy-raining. The temp allowed the rain to survive as wet, and the icy to remain frozen.

Tomorrow afternoon, we’re to expect the full-blown white stuff.

Reminder to self: Mid-day run to the “sto” before the weather turns….

Unpredictable

Railing shadow H4WP

Mostly, today was rainy and not-rainy-but-overcast. However, there were several blips of sunshine. This photo, however…a trick; it’s from the other day….

’Tis spring-y

Daffodils a bloomin

Another nice day; these are the first daffies I have found a-bloom—a bit ahead of ours….

BeltLine report: another packed day.

Layers of focus

Reflection overcast

Misty, moisty. Check.

Morning. Nope.

Cloudy. Yup; purely overcast.

No old man in any type of clothing. Too unpleasant, I guess, especially for a leather outfit.

I managed to get out between spitty-weather phases (in the early afternoon). Yippee!

Hoping for sun

Daffies agrowing

Got out in the sunshine for a stroll with a friend/neighbor, just moseying. Enjoyed a few stands of very hopeful daffies anticipating the spring season. Regrets are next, as lows in the upper teens are predicted for Wed.

Sodden

Buddy 125

We’re enjoying (haha) the winter rainy season, all grey and over-moist.

Better than ice, we decided!

Frost on the Prius*?

Frost on antenna base

It’s winter-time here on Boxing Day (kinda). In the shade this morning, we found thick frost on the antenna base and roof of the car.

Of course, after the sun got higher, all turned to water or evaporated, pfft! Nice day.

* That is, not pumpkin….

Great to be home

Pool quiet

It took all day for the grey-overcast to yield to rain (we last saw sunshine on…FRIday!). We persevered around two “red” traffic jams, and triumphed.

And, no, pool ≠ home.

Count ’em!

Prosecco pair

We must note our second snow event of this winter.

First, of course, was the seven or so inches we got over several days when we were in the UP last month.

This one was on some high ground in WNC, an abbreviation used nearly everywhere around here—for Western North Carolina (we’re pretty sure). Of course, temps in the high 30s meant that snow-in-the-air almost instantly became water-on-the-windshield/road/etc. Still, it counts as a snow event/sighting.

I mention this because we are not even mid-way through December, and we may get another snow event before the month is finished (probable WI trip).

We are tough…and brave and clean and reverent. And coping!

No blues

Blue street reflection Redford

This morning there was a bit of rain and I thought that meant there’d be rain all day, but I got lucky—most of the day was bright and sunny.
