I don’t know if the figures are identifiable in this pre-dawn, exceedingly overcast crappy-light photo, but they are the Peanuts™ characters, arrayed in a schoolroom. This is the second conjunction of Peanuts™ in my recent life. The only paperback (I think) that I kept from the southern MI house is a Peanuts™ paperback, 26th printing, dated 1966, copyrighted 1950, 1951, and 1952. Snoopy looks rather different in the early rendition compared to the flag era, and the prominent non-Charlie, non-Snoopy characters are Shermy and Patty. It’s not surprising that the characters evolved; Schulz‘s strip ran for a half-century.
