Musings
This is the only petals-open dogwood I found today; more on the way!
Cute house…front door open, and curtains in the window. No wrecking ball, just a cruncher. I’m guessing by 8:15 tomorrow it won’t be a cute house any longer.

I was quite surprised to see this plane flying an advertising banner circling, I think, Piedmont Park. I wouldn’t have thought, even though it was a fine SPRING day, that there were enough people there (in these COVID times) to make the flight worth the cost. I couldn’t read a single word from where I was, so I don’t know what was being pitched.
Strong natural backlighting. Nice!

“Las rosas” can mean “the pink ones” or “the roses.” Or both. Here, it’s the pink ones. From our property. Hyacinths.
And redbud. With an emerging leaf cluster.
No roses.
And, I have no idea what the Spanish name is of the flower we call pinks. Fortunately for this discussion, there are none on our property….

Serious rain as a front came through during rush hour. As we were enjoying our coffee. 😉
After it began to clear, we headed down Highway 41 on a mission.
In a high school cafeteria. Go Tigers!
I was number 47 to get a Pfizer shot! My lucky number.
On my late-walk…buds and weeds and flowers.
And new leaves. Hello, Spring.

I saw this and thought: I didn’t know periwinkle came in white. No doubt about what it is. And the internet indicates: sure enough—periwinkle has white varieties.
I saw this and thought…a weeping cherry in white. Or very light pink. Ten steps later the observation sunk in and I turned around to get a shot, having figured out my blog-theme-of-the-day.
This one is a freebie add-on. It’s a magnolia (Magnolia stellata), but I think of magnolias as having a pink tinge or full-on pinkness…my bias. So, a third blanca.
Even though for many people today’s color theme is green. I’m not Catholic and I’m not Irish, so, I’m going a different way.

The headlines for my walk today: rain, making pollen-painted puddles.
Screen-time focus: mapping archaeological site locations in Iberia, especially caves. More an obsession than a research need.

Fence game! What doesn’t fit? As in: what isn’t fence?
From an animated movie, I hypothesize, and I especially like the glitter!
A big scent cloud surrounds this blooming fence-covering vine.

I’m torn. The weather’s perfect for window’s open, gentle breezes. However. Those breezes currently are laden with pollen. Sneeze. Sniffle.

Over the last three days, the apples/pears totally opened! I found pockets of strong scent while out walking.
This is the photo I didn’t get posted yesterday. Operator error. Somehow I turned bluetooth off, and didn’t realize it stayed off. Fixed now! So: look at those big petals, ready to become slippery underfoot!
